I have updated SP.Writer, the shared parameter management add-in for Revit. The entire add-in was rewritten from scratch. I’ve learned a lot over the last couple years which has enabled me to write the add-in with much fewer lines of code.
This year we have a brand new long-awaited feature! The add-in now supports auto-categorization of parameters during the family binding process. This ability has been the single most requested feature over the last couple years. As you can see in the shot below, when using the Excel tool in combination with the add-in the parameters now appear under their correct categories, and no longer under the “Other” category.
